Come spring time, our front yard earns its share of admirers thanks to annual landscaping work by Mark. My husband and I live in Cambridge, and we have a lovely roof deck that we enjoy tremendously.  We have used Mark to landscape our deck for the past two years, and we have been extremely pleased with his work and his creative suggestions.  Our deck has looked absolutely beautiful these past two summers, and our guests always comment on the lovely flowers and color schemes.  Mark has a wonderful approach to color and design.  He always listens to his client's ideas and takes into account their preferences.  Most importantly, as an experienced gardener, he knows what plantings will thrive, given the sunlight in a particular location (i.e., our deck has very bright sun all day, and many plants would not survive).  His technical expertise allows him to suggest the best plants for the setting.  In one rare case, a plant was not doing well, and Mark promptly came to replace it at no charge.

Each season, Mark has new ideas and offers suggestions.  He comes early in the spring to install the plantings, and the flowers last through October.  He carefully and thoughtfully chooses each planting, making sure they are healthy.  He even helped to arrange for daily watering during the summer when we were on vacation.  In addition, to make the deck look festive for the holidays, Mark brought planters of greens/red berries from Vermont.  They look lovely, and last throughout the winter.

Mark is very timely and dependable.  He always returns my e-mails and phone calls promptly.  He schedules the installation at a time convenient for us, coordinates with our concierge on getting his supplies into the building with no mess, and sweeps up neatly and never leaves a trace of dirt behind!  All in all, he is a delight to work with.
